I’m Arachnophobic but before 18 I was extremely Arachnophobic I was beyond paranoid to the point I loose conscience it was pretty bad !!
then I got my first drink and when I was drunk I remember in our backyard with my family.. A spider crawled up in the wall it was huge .For the first time I didn’t feel scared and horrified but instead I was angry really really angry!!! I flipped out like a warthog and start swinging my hands and going all Mike Tyson on the spider my older brother and my father was cheering me like I’m in a street fight it was an unexpected reaction that shocked everyone there.
I spanked the spider so hard in the air it fell out and made an impact sound .. I felt invisible like some sort of super power shiiit !!! I will never forget my first drink 🍹 since then I progressed to reduce my phobia every time I have a drink !! And 6 years later I went on a holiday to Australia 😄💁🏻‍♀️ which in my teenage years considered the literal meaning of hell 💯 cheers 🥂

I love spiders. Including wolf spiders and tarantulas, but red backs and funnel webs are to be scared of if an untrained red back or funnel web is on you.

There are plenty of documentaries showing black widows eating their male partners, some after mating and others even before mating.
