How to Mix Low End

A good trick is to separate your bass into two separate tracks, one low frequency and one high frequency using EQ. Make the low frequency track mono and punchy, and distort and widen/open up the high frequency track, makes your bass punch through the mix without ruining mono compatibility or making the mix too muddy 👍

I like the 'sweet spots' that you show with the eq, could you do this as well for other instuments such as leads, vocals and drums in another video? Maybe show frequency ranges you might want to boost or cut for different instuments.

What does the envelope do in the last tip (Modulated Distortion)? Does it increase the harmonic distortion in the high-band as low-band’s frequencies fade out? So, distortion is heavier in the lows than highs? Is that it?
