I don't believe this.. I copied what you said and it's taken about 15 or so minutes to finally be able to achieve with confidence something that usually takes me hours, but even then with some degree of uncertainty until I try it on several different sources! Thank you so much for this tip

Even easier is to side chain SPAN with your reference track. So you have everything in one analyser. Don’t forget to use VST version.

Don't use Utility to convert a bass in mono, that will be cause some phases problems
