How To Buy & Negotiate A Domain Purchase

Have you bought a website or domain before? When my entrepreneur friends find out about some of the websites I have bought they want to know how I did it and how they can do the same.

How to go from I want that to I own that - ask these two questions:
1. Who owns this domain?
2. Is it worth anything?

Questions to ask the domain owner:
1. How long have you had it?
2. Why did you buy it?
3. Are you planning on doing anything with it?
4. How interested are you in selling this?
5. Have you gotten any offers?
6. Have you gotten any recent offers?
7. What were the offers?

That was so much info! I’m trying to do my first one… I can see that they aren’t using the domain, but they are a larger company that included it in their starter package, but that’s not a company my client works with anymore. They are a bit sketchy and never gave cancel documentation. 😢

I really don’t want to have a pay a broker, but I’m afraid to mess this up, man! 😅
