I added LEDs to make the floating effect even cooler! The bedroom makeover is really coming together, and we only have a few more projects left before the room is complete!

I made this bed frame! It turned out so amazing! It definitely had some challenges... But thank you so much for the inspiration and tutorial!

Looks great, love what you did with the room. One minor suggestion I would make is adding black fluted wooden panels on the wall behind your bed.

It's cool that you tackle this project even though you are without proper place to work...like us normals.

I came to find a way to build myself one of these beds and learnt that I need to get a man who can build things. This whole process is so cool and a lot of work but the end result mindblowing.✌🏽❤️💯

Great job- I made my first platform bed in 1978- wish I had YouTube back in the day - it would have made my life a lot easier. Excellent job it looks great.

I have a suggestion for you:-

Make that headboard 1-2 inches away from the wall and put some lights back there so it will look like that board is not touching the wall just like the bed is not touching the ground.

Btw, I really appreciate it!

I built one similar, my wife is short and she complained about the height and the exposed edge. I cut it down to 3 inch base and a added boxs springs . Good job keep going I like it

I can just imagine walking to the bed and me, never looking where I'm going, smashing my shins on those nice sharp wood corners.
Looks really cool though

For DYI and workshop enthusiasts where saws and drills roaring all the time, few claps should be totally fine.
I was just wondering how this design could be turned into less permanently nailed build, an assembled one that can be moved easily. Great content!

Hey man I’m inspired by how complex this build is but how simple you carried it through the video . Awesome work hope I can pull this off one day

I enjoyed your video. I never thought of using the motion sensor on the led lights. Pure genius.

As a contractor I can find a hundred things I would change on every build video. In this case there are only 2.

1. A mistake I made in a bed build is you should have recessed the slats approximately 3/4" and placed 1/4" luan, MDF, Ply (no matter) or the mattress will begin to fail and you will feel every slat.
2. The top trim boards should be under sized by 1/2" to 3/4" in length and width.
These two things force the mattress down 1/2" which gives a neater appearance in the corners and prevents the mattress from shifting.

The 3-side screwing mode gave more security to the center of the bed❤❤❤

Just a tip; when ripping boards on a table saw, keep the bigger piece against the guide. You had it switched in the beginning. It can be a safety hazard.

The end product looked great. The underbed lighting certainly helped add the visual effect of it floating.
Personally I would have rounded the corners to stop you stabbing your self in the future.
