56 years old, and just learned something! :-] Had never heard that trick about joining mitered edges. I always caulk my joinery to finish it, but this may be worth trying, so easy!

Your project looks amazing. I'm building a desk using glue in numerous areas. I read not to spread glue with fingers as oils will weaken it. hmmm .. never knew that but it does make sense. The article said to use a small brush for spreading the glue. I tried it and liked the process. Water cleanup was easy. Just thot I'd pass the info along.

Nice design. It should work great with a hardwood outer finish wood like Oak or Alder too.
