Here's what I learned from tracking my calories for over 1000 days and how it helped me get to 10% body fat!

About the video:
There's a lot of information about tracking calories for 30 days or 60 days, but very few people have done this long-term, and almost no one talks about the real benefits. I've personally got into tracking calories back in 2014 as a way to get below 15% body fat and reach 10% body fat. Before tracking, I was stuck at 15-17% body fat for months without understanding how to get leaner. I simply didn't have the precision and nutrition knowledge required to get to 10 - 12% body fat.

Even after just a few weeks of tracking my nutrition, I started seeing results again, body fat was going down, and eventually, this became a new habit that was a part of my routine for longer than 1000 days!

In this video, I share what I've learned from tracking my calories for over 1000 days and how it helped me get to 10% body fat. These insights will help you dial in your nutrition and get all the benefits to reach a goal physique that you'll be happy with.

The best thing I ever heard was “why are you willing to waste an hour on Facebook a day, but not willing to spend 5-10 minutes a day tracking food that affects the way you look and feel”

I just turned 59. I dropped 55 lbs in 14 months. I lost the first 30 using IF with no tracking and started tracking since then. I reached 10% BF and now am on my first bulking cycle. The big surprise for me was the feeling of freedom and removal of guilt. I know what I’m eating, enjoy what I eat more, and know that I’m on track. Tracking is now a way of life whether cutting, bulking, or maintaining. Tracking also removed the fear of gaining too much weight bulking. It has really given me peace of mind.

I like the idea of tracking calories. It’s like what he said, unplugging yourself from the matrix. When you track your calories you then understand that food is information.

Tracking, walking, and lifting for over 18 months now. Down from ~230 lbs and >40% body fat to 157 and 15%. At 47, I legit have a better physique than I did in college. Ultimate goal is 165 lbs @ 12%

I tracked the calories for 400 days and reached 10% bf, I agree perfectly with everything you said. Also when you get used to it, tracking keeps you busy for maximum 5/10 minutes a day

tracking calories is the number 1 reason i started getting crazy results. So much that some people think I took some kind of gear because of how fast my body changed. (which is pretty much the best compliment you can get when working out in my opinion).

Tracked since 5 Jun 2019 for 419 days since. Still enjoying, reaping benefits, discovering and learning the stuff I eat everyday.

Tracking calories is universal regardless of you need to gain weight or lose it. I learned how to handle low calorie dense food, it was more of having good decisions, which to eat and not to eat. I think I did track calories for 400 days then from here on it became more intuitive because I know what works. Plus, since I prepare my food 100%, I learned a lot of kitchenomics.

It's amazing what you learn when you track, I've always underestimated how many calories is in certain foods.

Is it nuts? I've been tracking for nine years... I feel sane.

I tracked my calories, macros and weight all throughout school with spreadsheets and graphs lmao, even had moving averages to cancel out daily fluctuations. Problem is when it crosses the line into an obsession and you can no longer eat food which you can't calculate accurately. Parents paid for meals and I just ate apples lmao

As someone who just hit the 150 days mark, this is very inspirational. Thanks for all the info and the quality info! Only 850 days to catch up with you haha. But yeah I’m enjoying the process, nowadays I feel bad when I don’t log my foods.

I have tracked every gram of food for the past 700 days. It started as a tool but has become an enjoyable habit that keeps me accountable to myself. It helped me lose 70 pounds in 5 months, then helped me put on 25 pounds of muscle over the next 12 months. Couldn’t have done it without the LoseIt app.

I totally agree with this. Tracking calories and weight fluctuations is super intuitive! I can now even predict my weight the next morning based on the calories in a day!
