I'm a stoic tough old dad with three grown daughters and La'An's solo stabs me in the heart. but then, I'm a softy for musicals.

When Uhura uploaded the American Songbook into the subspace rift, the background music played was perfect for each character's vocal range. I loved how the entire episode was choreographed for each character. It has become one of my favorites. I find myself singing the songs as I fall asleep.

This episode gave Spock more depth. His heartbreak over Christine had to be a major reason why he wanted to achieve kolinahr.

What a FANTASTIC episode! I absolutely loved it. This series has truly recaptured Star Trek in my opinion. Keep it up Paramount! You are doing great things with STSNW

Not going to lie, I would watch an entire musical Star Trek series. Captain Pike: "The star ship enterprise, feels electrified, I'm so proud to be your captain!"

One of the most Amazing Star Trek Episodes Ever. Especially the K-Pop Band

Love Number 1's ballad. And La'An's song was brilliant.

This needs to be made into a full length broadway musical. The Klingon K-pop sequence was way too short.

I loathe musicals.
...
I adored this episode. It was 62 minutes of absolute joy.

I'm pretty sure that in the entire history of music and in thousands of years worth of songs and verse, the words, "The intermix chamber and containment field are stable. I'll get to the warp core and assess its state when I'm able." have never been sung before. Boldly going...

I think Gene would be proud of Strange New Worlds. It is a wonderful, extremely talent heavy show that adheres to the very best qualities of the original Star Trek.

Thing I've just noticed. The Songs that feature characters from the TOS era (Uhura, Number One and Kirks song) have a very 60's MGM musical feel to them. The songs with characters exclusive to SNW are more modern. Spock playing outlier by going all new wave early 80's. (But you could argue Spock's voice tone was a massive influence on that genre)

Loved this episode. Boldly going where no Star Trek episode has gone before. Especially Kpop Klingons.

'I'm the X' breaks my heart! Not just because Spock is heartbroken, but how it's through this experience he's determined to erase his humanity! Wah!! Love Ethan's beautiful rich voice too!

This episode should not only get Emmys for all involved, but Grammys for its soundtrack and A SAG award for BEST ENSEMBLE CAST!

I don't like musicals, but this episode had the exact match between story, music, drama and fun. I listen the songs before to sleep with joy.

When Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding) sings "Keep us Connected" at the beginning you can feel her pain of being alone and wondering if there is anything more for her other than pain, then she finds the pattern and the song shifts from somber to joyous...MOST EXCELLENT!

I still desperately want a full Klingon Pop track.
