STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS is based on the years Captain Christopher Pike manned the helm of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The series will feature fan favorites from season two of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY: Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Number One and Ethan Peck as Science Officer Spock. The series will follow Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock and Number One in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy.

Whatched 3 episodes, im impressed with quality of details, especialy the sounds!! When I closed my eyes for a few seconds was thinking im watching remastered TOS.

I have watch the first 4 Episodes - the first three - I enjoy - I like it. The 4th Episode WAS FANTASTIC - OH MY GOSH - it was Like a Good Movie - I LOVE IT!!! I am in Love with this Show!!! Hopefully Star Trek will get back to its roots of problem solving, and critical thinking to find solution. Good writing and story telling is much better than violent action scenes.

Maybe this one will have a story driven by their mission of exploration, rather than forced crew-interpersonal-conflict about issues that would easily be solved by adult-level communication. I'm not hopeful.

The first episode was great and it felt more like the original series than any other recent Star Trek I have seen. The casting for Pike, Spock and Uhura was on point and the other actors were good too.

Holy cow Anson Mount is like the perfect Star Trek captain. It’s like he was drawn and carved out and programmed to be exactly what a starship captain should be. Perfect casting! And geez it looks like he got huge for this series. 💪🏻

I am on old goat who watched the series when reruns were first started. The first episode I remember watching as is a kid in the early 70s was Omega glory.
I love the original cast and crew to this day. I swear to you if these clips are anything like the actual new show, new music, production/set designs and all, they have rediscovered Star Trek!
This is Star Trek for the 21st century!

I just bought, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, season one today. So far I like this series, the special effects, the storyline and most of all the new looking USS ENTERPRISE. I'm currently watching episode 4. Star Trek is back, baby! With a vengeance! I LOVE IT!😎

Anson Mount's 'Pike' was the best thing to have come from Discovery. Purely a fluke but thankful for it. My worry is that they will keep this miserable, hopeless trek universe that has forgotten what Gene's vision of the future was. That vision was what allowed the trek we fell in love with to flourish. Star trek was never about purely sci fi, universe destruction and war. It was stories about people and the journeys they go through, it was just set in space. We connected with it because we saw ourselves in the characters.

It's cool they gave Captain Pike a real storyline and show it's sad what happens to him when Captain Kirk finds him years later after he disappeared.

Pretty cool... it's as if the makers remembered, at least a little, that solving local problems is more interesting than the threat of human annihilation in every episode.
