Child's Pose (Balasana) is a resting and restorative pose in yoga, and it is an excellent way to gently stretch various body parts.
It's a chance to stop what you are doing, reassess your position, and reconnect with your breath and your inner child by resembling how you were in the womb.

Here are some benefits of this pose:

👉 Stretches your lower back muscles and can relieve back pain.
👉 Increases range in your hip by stretching your glutes.
👉 Improved knee and ankle mobility.
👉 Helps you relax and reconnect to yourself.

Performing Child's Pose can also help with daily activities (ADL - Activities of Daily Living) that require a lot of hip and knee flexion such as:
putting on socks, tying laces, or picking an object from the floor.

It will help you increase your range of motion and can improve your quality of life.

There are some common mistakes that you should avoid when performing this pose, check out our YOGA APP for more info on the CHILD'S POSE
