I have to admit that a technique i watched on this channel possibly saved me from a serious ass whoopin. For no reason what so ever a while back ago i was waliking down street minding my business when a big ass dude rushed me for no reason yelling crazy stuff at me. So i chopped in neck as fast and hard as i could and dude went down! I then ran as fast as my old ass could go and got my ass back home. Wife was like what happened to you? You look pale as ghost and out of breath! But i was good man. Thanx so much buddy!

You could also (if available) side step to your right, he wouldn't be able to throw the right hook after he missed the jab plus he's open for a left body hook counter

Getti g into that box inside his reach was a vital and constant aspect of being taught self defense training when I became a corrections officer. Mext is to (short circuit) his next attack with an elbow, throat strike, etc. We were taught to survive until helo arrives unless you can gain control enough move to safety because there is almost always another threat incoming in that environment.

Very Nice. Growing up in NYC in the 60s and 70s in the Bronx, I saw great fights and knew Great Fighter's. Some Boxed, some knew other Martil Arts, some were exceptional street Fighter's, other's learned a Technique from Prisons / Jails. It was called "State O" many decades ago, according to older Guys. Then "Jailhouse or Jailhouse Rock", there's 52 Block and various Combinations. I mentioned that only because what demonstrated looked so similar and was the same in a way. It's very effective. In street fights I've seen, when the two people get in close like that, one of them grabs the other person and tries to take them to the ground, especially if they are bigger than the other person, then sit on top of them and wail away at their face. Address that.

That's crazy. Never fight a fighter. You won't know what rules he's using.

Just go for his knees and end him.

this is good if you're conditioned to fight inside and take the types of hits you might take when doing that. Otherwise you might want to create distance (if possible) instead of going inside.

I dont know about sticking your head so close to your assailant. Where I'm from, thats how you lose your nose, your ear, a chunk of your face, your top lip, an eyeball...

Why not use outside gate with straight punches get on that 30 degree angle?
