Not surprised at all that it’s Delta.

I witnessed Delta neglect paying attention to an unaccompanied, 5-year old child who flight attendants allowed to deplane without ensuring and verifying the child’s parent was there, in person to confirm safe arrival and delivery.

When the parent, who was at the gate waiting to collect the child before the non-stop flight even landed, and, who as instructed by Delta gate agents, had stepped aside to wait until all the other passengers had exited the plane, entered the now empty plane and reported to the onboard Delta staff, the Delta Flight Attendants had no idea the child was no longer on the plane, nor when he’d deplaned, nor where the child had gone . . . and Delta could not have cared less.

Had the parent who was collecting the child, not been able to dash through the crowd and find the child among the hundreds of passengers in the airport, the outcome might have been tragic.
