If you dig into the reviews of The Acolyte you see the critics did not review it highly. Lots of 3 out of 5's and such. Seems anything over 50% is positive in their aggregate so it is skewing high. If you read the fan comments you know their are a ton of idiots so it skews low. Goodreads scores always are too high - similar to the critics score for The Acolyte. Anyway, the show is a disappointment so far with the exception of some visuals IMO.
