Love you, Nadya! I used to be a big dude, almost weighing 700 lbs but I worked my a$$ off and lost 550 of those lbs!

She really said " friendly reminder for the new Year, you will fail ❤" like-

If you lose 30 lbs, keep it off for 2 years, and after that, you regain the weight. How did the diet fail? You just stopped doing the diet. If your diet actually helped you lose weight, the diet didn't fail, now, did it?

2 things that confirm to me a person is in a cult: 1) They have that 80s valley privileged girl accent and 2) they give "friendly reminders" constantly.

They do a lot of mental gymnastics to avoid losing weight...Imagine how successful they would be if they put in all that energy into actually making healthy changes

It kills me when FAs occasionally throw in a “you shouldn’t be ashamed for losing weight” in the middle of a condescending and angry rant about fat phobia just to save face when this is the complete opposite of what they believe. Then in the next breath they say things like “ex-fats are the worst people.”

So growing longer arms makes more sense to fat acceptance than losing weight.

Why do they always have to equate health with beauty standards?!!! They aren't really the same thing

1) As a disabled person I sometimes have to fight for the support I need - because There are people just Not wanting to do things on their own, so There is always Suspicion.

2) As a disabled person "I am disabled - not comateuse" has to be my battle cry from time to time as well. Because I have to fight to have my abilities recognized and my wish to do things myself respected.

The idea to just lie around and wave my Hand to Command people wash me, Feed me, dress me... even though I could do it myself...or Work towards doing it myself... is just so absurd. What the hell is going on with the self professed ablism Warriors?! That's actively harming disabled people. See point 1 and 2.

2024 is already starting to be a funny year when people are almost bragging about not being able to wipe their own butt and then have the nerve to try to shame others that are happy because they regained the ability.

Losing excess body fat so that you're not morbidly obese is something that literally every human can do. "Ableism" has nothing to do with it. FA's crying "ableism" about things they CAN change is the highest insult to those who legitimately can't.

"Shrinking your body" is not a euphemism, quite the opposit. Euphemisms are used to sugarcoat things, to make them seem nicer or more confortable to deal with. "Shrinking your body" is used for a shock value.

I'm autistic, I am a constant target of ableism, SAYING YOU LOST WEIGHT IS NOT ABLEISM. Like even for the obesity normalization society, this is a new low.

I never get over them going on about pursuing thinness in pursuit of beauty WHILE they conform to every single standard of Western beauty.

I used to be 110kg and pre-diabetic with a shitton of meds to prevent it. I hated taking the meds as I thought there's something so much wrong with me, so I said fuck it and lost 25kg in the past 3 years. Currently standing at 85kg I still have a long way to go, but at least I'm not pre-diabetic anymore and not on any pills.

the crab bucket is actually explained. I didn't know it wasnt a widely known explanation. They're not intentionally pulling an escaping crab back down. All of the crabs are trying to escape, and to escape, they're pulling on each other like a means to an end, effectively pulling each other down.

So its not like "I want to pull you back down because if im suffering, you'll suffer with me." The crab bucket scenario is really like a whole "if everyone is selfishly pursuing their own goals, then it affects the whole community" thing.

11:33 I personally only believe someone is happy when they say it multiple times to me without laughing or smiling

At my heaviest I realized I didn’t want anyone in my house much less taking care of my needs, so I started working out. The longer I can go without assistance the better

These people don't understand that if you are pursuing a healthy and balanced diet, and working out more often... you're gonna lose weight. "You can do these things for yourself, but don't lose weight"... they don't understand that these behaviors always lead to weight loss. Because they simply do NOT follow these behaviors. They want everyone to think they follow them, but they don't even know what the effects are like.
