no, Darwinism does NOT state that organisms responded to environmental factors, that’s adaptation and that is expressly excluded from his theory. Natural selection is the result of RANDOM mutations conferring a competitive advantage….that is not adaptation. Random is purely accidental, adaptation is in direct response to stimuli. The latter is actually a much more likely explanation, that epigenetics cause adaptation. Random defects only occur 1/1500 sequences, and only yield a usable protein once in every 10^77 occurrences. That’s one protein! It takes many many randomly generated proteins, each with the same ridiculous improbability, that work in unison to create a useful capability. Much like a tornado blowing through a junkyard and producing a 747, with each part having a 1/10^77 probability of even being in the junk yard . That’s beyond stupid. Worse yet, the theory says this is happening in millions of species simultaneously. Lol.
