Well blow me down. I tried this on the off chance it might work! ...as all of a sudden both Spotify & YouTube have been acting annoying with patchy sound, with YouTube it would be fine for video but the sound kept cutting in/out Ggrrrr!!! ....did these steps. And it worked!! 😮

Who'd a thought it... still need some manual general housekeeping of cache files in this day n age!

I have sounds BUT I can't volume adjust. If I add a sound to a short it removes the original audio. NOT ON IOS it seems though. I pay to get less features.

I'm afraid that these instructions didn't work for me I seem to have completely lost the sound/volume icon from my YouTube App - it's nowhere to be found. I wonder if YouTube is trying to force me down the 'premium subscriber' route... 🤔

for me it just acts stupid when i remove the call sound and it gives no sound if both of it is not maxed together

There is another thing that stopping YouTube playing sounds through headphones, and that is there's a new setting in Android called second app sound and some phones it's not in the menu but there is a Android program running which can stop the sound coming through Bluetooth headphones
