Prepare to be astonished as you follow the extraordinary 100-day journey of a single fire ant queen and a handful of workers, who transformed into a formidable force that demanded careful containment. Join me as we rewind time back to day one, and step by step, witness the astounding evolution of this fire ant colony.

Day One:
Day one - a fresh start with a new queen from Ant Antics after the passing of the previous queen. A modest beginning, with just a few workers and minimal ant brood. The magic unfolds as luck favors us, allowing the transfer of ant brood from the old colony, providing a vital boost.

Week 1:
Fast forward to week one, and the colony has already grown to approximately 30 workers. The queen has laid a new batch of eggs, a promising sign of her comfort and the colony's health.

Week 5:
By week five, the colony was around 70 workers. The queen's productivity is evident as she sits on growing layer of ant brood.

Week 8:
Fast forward to week eight, and the colony has outgrown its original nest. A larger outworld is introduced, and their preferences for food are tested, revealing their love for 'blue sugar snaps.' The first major workers make their appearance!

Week 12:
Week twelve arrives, and it becomes evident that the original nest can no longer contain their expansion. The colony's insatiable demand for space leads to the thriving hub of their nest being the old feeding area, now warmed by a heat cable.

Week 14 - Day 100:
Suddenly, it's week 14, marking 100 days of remarkable growth. The once tiny colony, consisting of a queen and a few workers, has outgrown its home. The move to the all-new Wakooshi Modular Nests with preparations for expansion already in place.

The delicate task of relocating the colony begins, revealing its astonishing size. In just 20 minutes, the entire fire ant colony migrates to their new nest.

The reality within the new nest is breathtaking, with a fire ant population beyond imagination. Maintaining this thriving colony now presents a daunting challenge.

Join me on this adventure and subscribe for updates as we witness the incredible story of this rapidly growing and evolving fire ant colony. The next chapter in their journey awaits, and only time will unveil their fascinating tale.

This video makes me wish I made my nest for my fire ants more visible to see how big they truely are, I believe I only have a few months left before the whole container is filled with fire ant larvae leaving no more hiding spots in the coconut husk for the brood to hide

"... With half the workers venturing out to FART and eat!"
I know it's wrong, but it's so funny! Also a bit dangerous, for FIRE ants to be around methane...
