I made a discovery in my new FIRE ANT QUEEN's test tube: After finding several queen ants engaging in their annual nuptial flight, I was waiting to see if one of the queens had been fertilized. One of the queen ants ended up laying eggs in her test tube setup, which excited me because I'd been wanting a new fire ant colony. However, I made a discovery this week that left me speechless. I am a Canadian too, and I spend five months each year in Brazil, volunteering as a carpenter, building homes for eco-communities. For the past two months, I was living in a shipping container that has been renovated as a small house. My bathroom always had about two dozen ants in it. I think the cool porcelain toilet was a source of water for them. Because I've been watching this channel, I made sure to give them space and respect. They are a larger species, probably 15mm long, and they kept all the other bugs off the floor and walls. I smashed a cockroach one night, and left it on the floor while I slept. In the morning, the last two giant battle ants were pushing the cleaned carcass towards the gap under the front door. I helped them remove it... there is no way I would have had the same attitude four years ago. Ant Love Forever!

For the colony name you could do Colony of Ashes or Dusty Troopers.

I've been watching you since before the 2 original fire colonies. From your Fire ants trying to make an escape from their habitat through the baby powder to the leafcutter ants that I truly loved.
