So, the majority of those with the authority to elevate others into leadership roles don't have the coaching skills necessary to be a leader in the first place. They can't identify their employees' weaknesses in such a way as to help teach them to get where they want to be.

Great podcast but rather disappointing when exploring challenges to people of color especially Women of color. And then to offer up white people as the model to follow was rather tone deaf.
