This is a simple tutorial on how to strip copper wire. You drill a hole in a piece of wood and drive a nail down into it. This scrapes the casing and you can just pull and strip.

I had to laugh as I thought, "damn, I'll have to go get a Makita drill now to do this with." Then you moved the drill out of the video camera view so I could see the process in action. ;-) Good job. ;-)

Made something similar at weekend but used a screw which I can adjust depending on thickness of wire - simple and effective 💪

Love the Slightly Stoopid in the background! Love the idea with the wood piece too. Cheers 🤙

I have some wiring to do on an electrolysis tub project which means stripping the wire in sections withing the lengths of the coated wire. Imagine a long uncut wire stripped in several sections of its length. Those bare sections or copper wire will be wrapped around a rebar pole that will be used in the electrolysis bath to make contact with each other in a series. I can then have the coated wire running about the length of the electrolysis tub and not touching anything to short out anything, but still have good contact with the rebar at each position about the tub. Probably not making a bit of sense in describing it, but this sort of wire stripping device will help me to do my project much better than buying some sort of wire stripping machine. Thanks for the idea to resolve the issue I may be running into. ;-)
