I love dango omg, I tried making mitarashi dango by myself and its all in the sauce!

I just made tricolour dango! I didn’t have glutinous rice flour so I used the powder you have to use to make boba. It turned out just as chewy and amazing.(keep in mind, if you try this you will also need rice flour and sugar and the stuff to make the colours which is matcha, Sakura.

Fun fact: in naruto, in the chunin exams arc, there's a character called anko mitarashi, she's commonly seen eating dango, and her name is literally references to different kinds of dango.

I love dango, but I don’t like the traditional flavors much so I enjoy playing around with the flavor and recipe. (I can see that this could be seen as appropriation, but I’m just having fun and am not serving the dango I make to other people, I’m just having fun. I’m not trying to change the way it is made, just the flavour)

I bought some at the asian market but the lady couldn't tell me if it's supposed to be served warm or not. Are you supposed to eat it hot? They keep it in the refrigerated section
