Do you have numbness and tingling of your small finger and half of your ring finger? If so, follow along as I demonstrate two nerve flossing exercises that can help relieve your numbness and tingling caused by cubital tunnel syndrome.
Cubital tunnel syndrome is a condition that occurs when the ulnar nerve, which runs from your neck to your hand, is compressed at the elbow. This can cause numbness, tingling, and weakness in your pinky and ring fingers.
These exercises are the best way to relieve cubital tunnel symptoms because they safely floss, or glide, your ulnar nerve. Other exercises focus on range of motion and strength, which causes you to over stretch your nerve.
In this first ulnar nerve flossing exercise you will learn how to slack the nerve at the joints above and below the elbow. This allows the nerve to begin comfortably sliding through all the small ligaments, muscles, and fascia in the arm.
In the second exercise, you will learn how to glide the nerve slow and symptom free by incorporating your shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.
