- Working on focus blocks with no interrumptions (check Deep work by Cal Newport)

- Working out in the morning and eating healthy to have a lot of natural energy (I avoid caffeine because of the energy rushes)

- I use Trello with 4 columns (pending | Urgent | In progress | Done) to have a visual representation of the tasks helps me to keep focus and inspired to work. Also having a physical board with postits is useful.

- When I chill... I REALLY CHILL. I once hear that you have to be binary. Be a 0 or 1 but no something in the middle. If you are 0 (resting) really rest and forget about everything else. So... when you're a 1, really be focus and energized. That's doesn't mean you have to be productive AF just work smart, relaxed but effective.

- And meditate. 15 mins in the morning and 15 mins in the evening. Just close your eyes and feel your beathing, just relax and see your breathing. It's not about thinking with your eyes closed! Just to relax your mind and press restart. That's my caffeine. It's interesting how you can achieve a lot more by giving yourself a little time to do "nothing".

I hope you find these useful! [:

From past 5 years I have done nothing but procrastinate, now I am just pissed and want to change. I have tried several article, techniques book, and this is finally kind of working for me

Every night for approx 3 minute my closest friend calls me and I give him a detail report of what I did today and he gives his.
In the morning I feel compelled to do the task because I know I have someone to report to.
It might seem like counter-intuitive, but hey it's working for me and I am getting my work done.

Thanks for this!

In my case, I think negativity is the worst enemy of productivity. There is nothing better to stay productive than to share your enthusiasm with like minded individuals.

What really works for me is time blocks, if you are one of those who end up working more than 6 hours a day then you are definitely not focused. One minute can pass by as if it is nothing or it can feel like alot of time depending on how much you are focused. Do not start unless you are sure 100% that you can focus rather than that just play and you will crave to be productive. A detailed plan for the next day before you go to bed is also great ! The plan should be done in the following manner:
8-9 AM workout and shower
9:30 - 11 AM write a backtesting code for time series prediction data
11 - 11:30 AM : Social media and me time
11:30: 1 PM debug some code (be specific what files ? what problems ... etc)
1:00 pm - 3 pm Socialize and fuck around the office if anyone is up for it
3 pm - 5 pm Read this complicated paper that no one understands its math (first read, maybe there is a second and third read to fully grasp it)
5-8 pm go home and chill, dinner, me time, call friends on the phone
8 - 10 PM Personal project time (be detailed about what you want to achieve even if it is something very small like code the xx.py file for this awesome open source -write a method that automatically builds DL architectures from a configuration file )
10 - 12 AM me time, watch tv, talk to the girlfriend whatever.

You see how work vs play is repeated one after the other it always goes like work then play work then play work then play. Lets face it we are always distracted by social media and we are addicted to this shit so procrastination is at a high level. Dicepline is hard and boring, but if you can just focus on a detailed system rather than what needs to be achieved, it made the biggest difference for me. What I achieve from a one hour of work is now equivalent to more than 5 hours of work than i used to do in past because i am focused and the urge of work is in me once i take long play times in between

my sample way:

10 pm--12 am: sleep, play happy, anything you want

12 am---8 pm: only work, learning

8 pm---10 pm: slowly gym for good sleep ( must slowly, it is
bad for your sleep to do too much Strenuous exercise at night )

I really feel a startup or community with mental health support at it's core and with the help of Ai we can make difference in the lives of people, I agree to every point you said.
Say No
Plan
Focus
Asking for help
Caring for the people in community.

My productivity hack

I'm not productive at all. But I found that when I leave home to work somewhere else, I do a lot. And when I'm home all day – I do less.

The only social media i like engaging to is these 2 (idk if they are even consirdered social media but meh) :
1)Youtube Tutorials (love the endless knowledge of youtube, idc if some of it is useless i just love learning from it)
2)Medium.com : the articles ppl write are just a perfect and wonderful read whenver u take a break from doin something tiring or just normal frequent breaks between tasks
