I found out taking a nap after studying or just laying down with eyes closed for ten minutes without thinking of anything, makes me retains and remembers the information i read more vividly.

Also writing down key points and repeating them over and over works just fine.

Started selfstudying Mathematics before 3 Months with 29 years old. 60 Minutes per day basic Mathematics and about 3-4 hours Math Problems from a Math Book. I am about to finish my first self study Book from Harold R. Jacobs. I became addicted to Math and you are a BIG help. Thank you and please continue, i need you

As a fellow Mathemagician, stretching, and spinal alignment are key to brainpower.

From your shoulders to the base of your skull, beware of craning your neck for hours on end. It will cause issues with blood flow to the brain. Shoulders back, chest forward, even while sitting.

Stretching increases blood flow, hastening the clearing of brain fog. Highly recommend.

*It's normal to forget what you learn it*

1. **Exercise Your Brain**, fine anything's that gets your brain active like puzzle (regularly).
2. **Sleep More** .
3. **Manage Stress**, you can treat it to do point.2, Why am I thinking about this, why do I have negative thoughts in my mind, even you can't fix the situation because many times you feel like you can't that's .
4. **Improved nutrition** .
5. **Mindfulness**, it's the practice of being self-aware of your thought's, if you have a negative thought you create procrastination & bad sleep habits & bad decisions, try to stop it from controlling your actions.

**This create a study sessions better**

This is fantastic. I was having a terrible time performing in my classes this semester and finally realized that I wasn't eating enough food or getting enough sleep and that I was way too stressed out. I see someone else said this, but agreeing that exercising your body is indispensable. Some kind of cardio, some kind of resistance training and some kind of flexibility work. Learning math has made me smarter in general. After Calc II I have actually gotten better at figuring out and understanding things that have nothing at all to do with math. Counterintuitively, even my interpersonal communication is better. Maybe because math improved my self-confidence? Not sure.

You missed by far the biggest one. Physical exercise! There's a ton of research showing how exercise improves cognition, retention and all the rest. It really is a super power, even if you just get a quick 30 minutes in every day, especially before an exam. The difference in clarity I feel when I am exercising regularly or not is night and day.

Having Parkinson’s myself, this is the best advice I have heard yet. Not even my doctors have put together such a good list as this!

Exercising my brain is the reason I do math. I started doing Sudoku puzzles and loved them. Strangely, I think it was doing Sudoku puzzles got me interested in actual math problems. I have to sleep 10 hours a day to be happy and I have to know I can sleep when I want to. Most people I know are not aware of what motivates their emotions. They don't have any awareness. I can't explain what I mean by awareness, but most people I know don't have it. I think emotional awareness or emotional maturity is one of the several intelligences. I eat a lot of veggies and fish. Actually, I just finished some zucchini and tuna cakes I made the other day. I don't like coffee.

Omg, why are you so cool. I admire Mathematicians since I was a child, Math was always the hardest subject and gave me countless nights crying because of how difficult it was for me to solve it. But I've noticed that when I practiced more Math my life became more easy and made me able to tackle others subjects with not too much difficulties. Sadly Math here is a synonym of accessing to a career in engineering to take your family out of poverty and not for fun. So glad having the advice from this man who looks like a mixing between Jeff Bezos and Isaac Newton, you are the kind of person I imagine when I think on the top US Universities, a true Math genius who shares his wisdom with us.

Getting at least some physical exercise as well as sunlight and fresh air is such a game changer. Like with enough sleep you just feel like you got rid of some slag in your body. But you need to find a sweet spot. If you invest too much too quickly you need to recover too much. If you do too little you won't get the full benefit. In my sweet spot, I´m far more resilient to any kind of fatigue and simply get my stuff done before I feel tired.
Processed (fast) foods, bad sleep habits, and insufficient exercise ... it`s odd how most students are prone to them even so they hinder their true goals ...

Another tip is workout, specifically aerobic exercises (running. biking, swimming, etc)

What has helped me the most of all in this usage of the most important organ that we have, has been the ability to focus on one thing at a time and move my awareness from one thing to another at will. It took some time but being mindful of the what you are doing a the moment and truly putting all that you have in your possession into something (I.E: your body, your eyes, hands, feeling, etc.) really has good dividends both on the soul, body, and mind. Exercise will hone this. Take care my fellow magi and keep learning!
