*_I love both of these guys!_* I have learned so much from them - I was a 10-point slobbering calvinist for two decades and escaped these men gave me some of the tools which made my escape possible. In terms of truth deliverance, I like to think of Leighton like the soft, precise 'crack' of a .22 rifle and Thompson like a hard-hitting, 3 1/2 inch, 12 gauge magnum buck-shot blast ! Great video fellas!

VERY EXCELLENT !!!! Much appreciated & much needed discussion. 29:58 Kevin's 'debate' with Sonny Hernandez was very very demonstrative of what Kevin's bringing out here. Sonny had his professional scientifically regulated Debate Timer ready to go and Kevin really wanted to have a productive conversation. When he asked Sonny how he came to know the Lord, and when he got "in Christ' hoping to get a personal testimony it became painfully/sorrowfully obvious Sonny wasn't actually doing any "thinking". He was only prepared to put forth his prepared responses like a boxer sets up his left hook. He really didn't even understand the question.

I've tried SUPER HARD to listen to Kevin but I can't. It's waaaay waaaay too heady, term laden, etc. Love what he's doing, just wish he did it in plain english.

Labels encourage all of us to not carefully, scientifically, logically interpret the Bible. We label a verse, a passage and as Mr. Thompson shared fail to test our own hasty conclusions or even long-held conclusions. This is vividly demonstrated in proof-texting. So the fundamental short-coming of using theological labels is that they allow us to spend way too short amount of time understanding the Bible as the authors and the Holy Spirit intended them to be understood. Having been a Christian 50 years in December, a fundamental rule for me is to eschew all theological labels, like Calvinism, Arminianism, Dispensationalism or even Baptistism, even though I attended a Baptist church 50 years ago and am now in a Baptist church 50 years later.

What's wrong with just calling ourselves Christians ? Denominationalism and labels
devide people into catagories. They were first called Christians at Antioch. Men's labels are not found in Scripture.
