Just this morning, my friend asked for a theology podcast explaining Lutheranism. I told her about this series but that you’d done one on the history and sadly not yet the theology — then this! The Lord provides!

As a Catholic, I am very thankful for your explanations which are very clear and understandable and have clarified many of my questions on Lutheran theology. God bless you!

I love these videos! As a new Lutheran, I think they will be very helpful for the rest of my family to get a high level overview of Lutheran doctrine and history.

Thank you for this! My husband and I were struggling in our faith being reformed/calvinist and now we are coming out of it because of your videos. It's like I have new eyes to see! 😊❤🎉

I would be interested in a history video about what happened to Lutheranism after Martin Luther. Lutherans put their entire narrative on this one man. At the LCMS history museum in St Louis, there's this huge exhibit about Martin Luther, and then it skips to German immigrants in America.

Amazing teachings once again Dr. Cooper! Just loved the pace of the video and how the different aspects of our faith as Lutherans flowed. God bless you and your online ministry. Amen ☺️👍

I grew up Lutheran, and still attend a Lutheran church. This was a good refresher to see if there's anything I differ on. All seems straightforward to me from the scripture. I don't know much about which other Protestant churches have confession and absolution, or how they do it, but that's a big stickler to me; especially, before taking the Lord's Supper.

I find that Lutheran’s approach to sanctification is very different and needed. Your book, The Hands of Faith, really helped and maybe there can be another video where sanctification can be a topic mentioned. These videos are really good for the laymen who are not in the academic theological realm.

Intro to uniquely Lutheran theology...Your pastor is Jesus' voice on earth and is the source of contact with God's grace holding the keys to your salvation.

Thank you for a wonderful presentation of the biblical meaning of justification. Although I am not a Lutheran, I fully agree with the Lutheran view of justification.

Could you make a video about protestant work ethic? It is quite an interesting and much debated topic. I would like to hear your take on this.

Thank you for your work. God invented the internet for people like me who lost hope of finding a Christian congregation. I went from Catholic to Baptist and from Baptist to Non-denominational. I live in the city of the greatest falsehood, bad taste, and wickedness. All of you say that the internet is not a substitute for a real-life church. But God put the internet so that we can enjoy all the best of Christianity.

Dr Cooper .. I loved this video and it reinforces many things I've been learning over the past 5 years since I changed from Baptist to Lutheran. The only thing I don't get is how a believer can walk away from God's indwelling faith. I know the verses you are looking at, but logically the interpretation makes no sense to me. If God is the "arrow pointing down" and He creates faith in our heart, He sustains that faith in us, He adopts us into his family, He gives us His Spirit and creates a union with us -- how then can the believer turn away? I mean we were sinners to start with. We weren't even inclining our hearts towards God until He came to us and changed that. I can see how someone may intellectually try to follow the law (like the Pharisees) and even fit into many of our modern day churches. They may think they even have faith but perhaps it was never there. Anyway, can you please elaborate more or maybe you have other videos that address this.

The story of Martin Luther is more nuanced than most people, including the esteemed Jordan B, want to grant it. People do this for the sake of pushing one or another agenda or unfortunately, using the cloak of ministry to make money off faithful but missled believers.

Foremost, he and others among the Augustinians were authenticly troubled by clerical abuses and the putting of points of religiosity over concern for people. But in spite of his sympathetic concerns, Luther was also stiff-necked and proud. I'm not discounting that some of those opposing him were likewise. The fact remains, that his original problem boiled down to a dispute over fund raising revenue, that was in their view, being usurped from them. This puts his thesis more into perspective as do all the issues of desired status and rank, playing their role in Luther's rise and fall.

It does not appear to me that Luther objectively set out to found a heretical movement but simply to make a name for himself as a theologian and perhaps if the Church would not make him a cardinal (his admitted ambition at the time) he would seek fame and status in other ways.
