What is Dispensationalism vs Covenant Theology? | Lenses vs Labels | Session 4 | PROPHECY COURSE

This may come as a surprise, but not everyone agrees on the meanings behind certain tough-to-grasp Bible passages. Shocking, right?! Ever since the first century, that disagreement has been the source of much debate. In this lesson, we establish a basic understanding of the common prophetic views—the lenses around biblical prophecy including covenant theology, dispensationalism, futurism, preterism, historicism and idealism. We’ll also make the argument for avoiding the labels that often accompany these views. Finally, I have a little surprise for you at the end. (So exciting!)

So on what side do you land? Dispensationalism or covenantalism? Why?

Have you heard of Progressive Dispensationalism? I love it since it’s similar to covenant theology. Both systems agree on the”already not yet” and “one people of God”. The online thing that differ is the promises to Israel in terms of land, agricultural, etc.

More richer than revised and traditional Dispensationalism.

Dispensationalism certainly isn’t literal about Matthew 24:34!! True Israel is ALL believers in Jesus Christ, regardless of origin. By the way, I am a Christian of Jewish descent.
