How To Harvest Basil So It Keeps Growing BIG!

Don't just pick off the leaves, here's how to harvest your homegrown basil so that you spur continual bushy growth for months worth of delicious gourmet ingredients!
1-Identify the main central stalk of the plant
2-Find a node, or a junction where two main stems grow outwards from the central stalk
3-Using scissors, clip the main central stalk directly above of the node
4- Water your garden, consider adding a fertilizer after harvesting to provide more nutrients to the stressed plant!

🌱🪴🌱 Thank you for sharing about Basil. I am working on learning all about herbs & their many, many uses. I love herbs!! I just adopted an 'African Blue Basil'. From what I've researched about it, it only can be propagated by rooting a piece of the mother plant. It doesn't die after flowering & it has beautiful bluish purple blooms. I'm so excited!
