Follow these steps to recover deleted files from an #SDcard on #Windows:
1. First, download and install Disk Drill on your Windows computer.

2. Connect the SD card to your PC either by using a card reader or by attaching the device that contains the memory card.

3. Launch Disk Drill and let it discover all of your disks.

4. Select the SD card from the disks displayed by the application.

5. Click the Search for lost data button to start scanning an SD card.

6. Preview the recoverable files by selecting folders designated for specific file types such as pictures or documents.

7. Choose a storage location where you will save the recovered files. Do not use the SD card itself to store the files as this may lead to file corruption or the data being overwritten before it is restored.

8. Once the files are selected, click the Recover button to perform the recovery.

You seriously just saved my life! I did a video shoot in 4K for a client and when I was deleting the files I didn't want, somehow it deleted the entire folder and when files are too large on my system it deletes them immediately without sending them to the recycling bin and I had a complete panic moment and I was really sceptical of this software working because to be honest, this stuff usually doesn't work for me but omg my files are all there! Hello, what happens if the preview is not playable? I am trying to recover lost GoPro videos on a MicroSD card. In DiskDrill, the files are recovered as .mp4 and no matter what software I use (VLC, Quicktime, etc.), they are not playable- only a .mp4 photo appears. I've tried renaming files to .avi and .mov and still nothing. I tried another program (Cisdem) and it saved files as .mov instead and they previewed fine in their application (I'm not sure about after recovery). Any recommendations on what I can try?

please i need help and i cant figure out how to google this or find a solution but... i got a new camera a while ago and formated my sd card so it will work. with my old camera I could just grab and drag videos from my sd card file on my computer and add them to my home screen or wherever I needed them. now with this camera the sd card opens a file that have many different files that are all empty.
i just don't know what to do.
( I'm using a sony cybershot camera, memory card is also son, iPad pro 12.9 and mackboo)
