7:20 There is also another method if the screen and touch is broken and you don't have usb debugging. Just buy a USB-C to HDMI usb hub/adapter/dongle and plug it into a monitor along with a mouse. From there backup the phone or just enable USB debugging to then use scrcpy, adb pull or any other file recovery software.

Writing from experience - once had a broken phone (screen showing random patterns, touch not working, developer options not even enabled)

I used recovery mode to reset the tablet, and then I remembered that I had not transferred data. Can I recover it?

It's worth mentioning, or rather reminding, to disable the USB debugging adb timeout for the future for the scrcpy to work at any sudden point in the future.

That's why I back up all my data and apks on flash drives.
I learned that the hard way.
And I also use the backup and restore option on my Samsung A20s just in case.

So in order to recover the deleted whatsapp folder i deleted, my phone had to been already rooted BEFORE the mess, if i root it now when the folder is already gone, i've ZERO chances to get it back, right? 😢

Backups are really important, the solutions provided here are great! It would be nice if you talked about tools like Syncthing, which is a cloudless syncing tool. Its pretty awesome.

I use resiliosync to sync all my stuff to my 2nd phone and to my PC and also to NAS. and yes, my 2nd phone has Gphoto backup unlimited with Root!

Thank you for your help. Alas, ... I moved my photos/vids to a "photo usb" (5000 plus) then from that to my laptop. Discovered a week later some of the pictures did not upload to usb all the way (partial pics) - i could have sworn they were all there when i checked earlier, but whatever - so of course when i moved them to desktop on my laptop they showed up that way too. HELP! I deleted all the WhatsApp media (and deleted also from the trash).
I didn't notice my next WhatsApp backup will be ereasing the previous one.. And now I want to download all in my new phone, I've realized there is no media (documents, voice notes, audio, photo or video)

In a PC i'll use a file recovery software, and everything it founds will be put back in it's original folder (with the same . But with my Android I don't know what to do...
