Greens powders, pills, and gummies are made from dried or concentrated vegetables, fruits, grasses, and certain types of algae (e.g., chlorella and spirulina), providing a variety of nutrients such as carotenoids, antioxidants, amino acids, enzymes, nucleic acids, fiber, vitamins and minerals that can have healthful benefits. Thanks Doctor, my wife is always taking al kinds of vitamins but I am always skeptical. I have purchased couple of bottes of fruits and veggies from balance of nature but never felt any of the results that people relate on tv commercials, so . . . I decided to research and your comments have made up my mind to buy more fresh fruits and veggies instead of trying to go the easy way.

I found that Raw juicing fruits and veggies with a slow juicer is by far better than any supplement on the market. I juice 5 carrots, one apple, hand full of spinach, and full of kale and celery and I do two apples and half of a beet. This in my opinion is how you get your full daily intake of fruits and veggies. Your thoughts Doctor Tod on this?

My Doctor recommends eating "real fruits and vegetables" if for nothing else to get the fibre, chewing and digestion of real fruits and vegetables. He does NOT recommend taking the supplements as they do NOT provide the necessary chewing, fibre, and normal digestion required for a healthy body.

Note: Many of these Fruits and Veggie supplements contain ingredients that many on medications should NOT be consuming. Example: If you take a "Statin" medication, these fruit and vegetable capsules contain "Grapefruit". If you take "Statin", you should NOT have grapefruit. It interacts with the medication. Talk with your Doctor before taking any supplements.

Get it, get it... BUT... for us that do not like the taste of vegetables this is an "out" so to speak as a way to at least get something in you even if it's not the right amount. Better than nothing! Right??

Did you find any BMAA in AG1 Spirulina? I take it as a pre-workout but would rather not have neurotoxins in my drink haha

No disrespect doctor. I am always trying to lean new things. if I understand you correctly about eating five servings of fruits and vegetable a day, nobody is going to eat all that in one day. Besides it would get very expenses.

He maybe a doctor ok. But i know how Balance of Nature helped me recover from separated rotator cuff. At over 60 i recovered in 30 year olds range !!

Yeah! ;) So shut up and eat your veg! 😜 I like my veg! 😃 And meat and potatoes! And that whole eat them to defeat them advertising campaign makes me feel so ashamed that I didn’t like my veg when I was a kid because of how successful it is! :(
