Okay, ima noob at Git. So idk how or where i messed up at but i cant figure out how to get my stuff to show up like you did at 7:17. And my git desktop is different than yours...

At 2:23 you mention "git lfs install" in the git bash but oddly mine is failing and I have no idea why. It just says "Error: Failed to call git rev-parse --git-dir --show-toplevel: "fatal: not a git repository (or any of the parent directories): .git\n"
Git LFS initialized.
" like idk even know what the heck that means and I installed everything with the defaults. The only thing I changed was the vim editor to notepad++.

but how to use a repository made by others? for example my role was to provide props to the team? am I just gonna clone the repository they've made and clone it in GitHub.com or URL? what is the difference about this two?

1. I read it that to avoid getting in the authentication every time you git push etc use GitHub (Desktop) instead of URL.

2. does it have the owner or the main user must have always online for US contributor to git push/pull etc on that UE Project file?

So does there need to be one git account that everyone working on a project can log in to or does there need to be Two? One for the Original account uploading the project and then the other for everyone else?

7:30 it does not work, trying to figure out why for 2 days...don't know why you did not retake that video...its confusing...start UE4 again...It is just simply confusing...

Good tutorial on how to use get with Unreal Engine. But I'd recommend against sharing a git account, as this actually defeats a huge purpose of git, which is seeing who contributed what and when. You should setup an organization on GitHub and give access to each GitHub account that you want to be able to contribute to the project.

Friend. First of all thanks for tutorial. Secondly, only one account needed to make project private? so other free accounts could collab this private project?

Hey man, thanks for making this tutorial. This was a hell of a lot easier to use and set up than perforce and subversion (what a pain those were to even bother with). I am wondering though is there a way to force the source control to integrate further and sync with Gitlab or Gitea (git) which are free private and local hosted versions of git? Or am I stuck always sending to github?

HELP! When My friend clones and opens my project EVERYTHING IS BLANK. He can only see a blank landscape(the checkered material ). There should be grass, trees, and a cabin. Plz help.
