Something to add, Rather than Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, you can also label them based on topics, themes, goals, or whatever you want really.
The most important aspect is to label them, limit them, and then get started.

The only way to reliably learn something as an adult is to truly be invested and interested in it, anything else goes out the window

Iv suffered from “shiny object syndrome” most my life and is why I have been so slow with my progress. Always changing direction thinking theres a better direction. Frustrating! Helpful video thank you!

1% of your progress comes from study...the other 99% comes from actually practicing. Beautifully put man. Fully agree. Took me almost a decade to discover this myself. Glad to see youre spreading the word

5:27 Bruce Lee quote perfectly matches your train of thought - I fear not the man who has practiced 10, 000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10, 000 times

As a teacher myself, I wanted to give kudus where kudus is deserved! One more layer to add is building in a face-to-face community around that particular skill. If it's playing an instrument, try to play with other people FOR other people. If it's cooking, then try to cook for your friends. Even coding benefits from the community aspect--the rhetorical relationship you have with other creators and the audience. Studies have shown that learning is amplified in groups--even if everyone isn't like-minded (especially so).

UNDERSTAND THAT ONE VIDEO STUDIED AND ACTED UPON TO ITS FULLEST EXTENT CAN BE WORTH THOUSANDS OF HOURS OF SEARCHING THROUGH MATERIAL AND NOT STUDYING OR APPLYING IT. Oh the clarity this brings

I’m a chronic researcher to the point where It’s far less likely I practice rather than study. You become very knowledgeable but have few skills. This video is very helpful to me thank you

He is right.
41 years of daily practicing procrastination and laziness have made me a Master in those arts.
But you must be consistent ☝️

You've made me realize that I've been in "Tutorial Hell" with so many aspects of my life. I've never watched a video or consumed a self-help book that was so actionable. Great content this the most clarity I've had in a while!

The internet is a blessing in disguise
I'm really thankful from the People who shares their knowledge for free.
You just have to find the right mentor and learn from them.

Another important part that is helpful and seems super basic, HAVE FUN! You should try to enjoy the process as much as possible and take it slow

The social media detox helps me a lot. After deactivating my soc acs, I'm starting to get bored. That boredom turn into doomscrolling in yt. And I got hit by depression because of that. When you know that your not doing something but you can't still do it.

After 1 week, I decided to hide my phone. Then boredom again. After a long long hit. I just feel it. So I started studying again.

Right now, I study al lot of thing. I don't give myself time to get bored that will turn into doomscrolling. When I get bored, I try to do some crochet. When i got sleepy after hrs of studying, I try to do crochet again. If I'm panicking even I do things, instead of watching videos on yt. I will go for a 10 mins walk, or make a coffee or stare to nothing. That's what my every day life. And I'm getting better than my past self.

I don't know if my yapping does make a sense lol. But yeah, btw these are the thing i study.

1. Web design, front and back end
2. Arduino
3. Learning computer from hardware to software
4. Crochet

I'll also want to try video editing and writing scripts. But when it comes yo resources, my laptop can't do it rn. But yeah. Thats all 😂

I am a high school student, learning to code, teaching myself math, and working out. I'm just trying to do better in general. 10:27 Great advice. Thank you.

People don’t realize that an entire YouTube video is usually half a class at a school or university lecture.

Remember that classes are a year or half a year long and come with homework or lessons that you hate!
