Love the short 3 to 5 minute videos. Full of info and no fluff. Just what I need.

I work part-time at my local Woodcraft and tell everyone buying a diamond stone about breaking them in. I have yet to see that in the instructions of any diamond stone, but I could be missing it somewhere. I've known that for years from being in another industry. It's good to see someone on Youtube mentioning that it's needed. Everyone I've told that to has been surprised to hear it.

Wish in one
I just had to buy a new TREND 300/1000 after less than a year. Not because it was shot but I had used way to much pressure as a new diamond plate user. Please express the pressure issues a little stronger for harder headed wood workers like me. Keep the videos coming.

Perfect timing. I’ve been researching sharpening and diamond stones for a couple of weeks. Great info as always!

Great video
I looked for the link to the places where I can buy the items in your video, but I couldn't find the one for Billy Beer, for which I’m extremely very grateful.

Paul Sellers advocates using auto glass cleaner (not household that contains ammonia) as a buffer/lubricant. This is certainly less expensive than rust inhibitor additives. What are your thoughts on using auto glass cleaner?

Stumpy nubs here convinced me to get the trend diamond stone several months ago. Best sharpening purchase I've ever made!

Thanks for the info. I always had problems with new diamond stones but until now, wasn't sure exactly how to deal with the problem.

I have the Trend diamond stone and let me say it is just amazing. it sharpens he hardest steel chisels in a fraction of the time of a natural stone. It just works better than any other stone I have ever used. Works great on card scrapers too.

The DMT duo sharp with metal plates is not a cheap stone and also the same principles apply. I actually think the DuoSharp coarse and extra coarse might be my favorite “stone” regardless of the “plastic” (it’s a ln extremely durable hard and nice plastic, feels like a ceramic center, it’s also very stable dimensionally)

Thank you so much. New to sharpening and pulled out my Mora 122 after whetstone yesterday, thought I dried it out. Went looking for a non water solution and found you. Watched the video and ordered the stone and fluid immediately. Also ordered a new Mora 122.

On a side note: I use those "cheap diamond stones" to re-flatten my wet stones after intense use. They work pretty well.
