I definitely shave my face, after many years of being hesitant, and I don't know why I waited so long to do it! On make-up free days my skin tone looks so much more even and fresher! Definitely recommend to anyone considering but follow all the steps Dr. Dray has in this video! Happy shaving!

I just shaved my face the other day actually, I have acne prone skin and a few tips I have or things I do is
1. I DO NOT shave my face if I have an active breakout, it’s just not worth it.
2. I use rose hip oil to shave so I’m not doing it on dry skin and irritating it further (this may not be for everyone though)
3. I’m not a big makeup wearer but I definitely do not wear makeup the day of or following shaving
4. In the days after shaving, protect your skin at all costs, sunscreen 1000% (should be done every day but in this case especially) try to stay out of the sun if possible and only use gentle cleansers.

These are what helped me hope it helps you 👍🏼

So funny and happy that I was literally about to shave off my peach fuzz when this video popped. I'm definitely gonna use these tips since I usually just dry shave. I have the exact shaver you just showed and the aveeno cream that I absolutely love. Thanks Dr. Dray 💗

I have sensitive skin and only shave my peach fuzz once every 3 months or so. I do it in the shower and use CeraVe's hydrating cleanser as my shave cream. I follow up with my Vanicream daily moisturizer...no serums as they can cause more redness/irritation right after shaving. I even wait 2 days to resume my retinol cream. Please stay safe from hurricane Nicholas. :)

I never thought I would shave my face, having grown up believing it would cause more, coarse and darkened hair. Not true!! It's easy and effective if you follow Dr Dray's instructions outlined in this video. I do it once or twice a month. I love how my skin looks, feels and accepts skincare, SPF and makeup. Thank you, Doctor, for highlighting this subject. 😘

I started shaving my face about 6 months ago at 52. It is SO nice. My make up for SURE goes on better and last longer! My skin also looks better after doing it. Smoother. I only do it about once every 5 to 6 weeks. The tip about only using a moisturizer and on wet skin will be very helpful after. Thank you!

YES! I'm a face shaver and have been for decades! Although I have had laser, it only gets rid of the dark hair. A friend of mine called me "teen wolf" once when the sun was shinning in the car and I was driving. At that moment, I saw my face in an entirely different way so since then, I've been shaving. I would never dry shave.
My current routine for shaving is: At the sink, right before I shower. Lather the face with Aveeno Sensitive cleanser. I use a Bic razor. Shave my entire face, rinsing the razor after each stroke. Then hop in the shower, rinse that all off my face and cleanse my skin using the Inkey Oat Cleansing Balm. I let that sit on my face (like a mask) as I shampoo my hair and then rinse it off. Then I cleanse with FAB Cleanser. Of course right out of the shower, I apply First Aid Beauty Toner and Aveeno moisturize. Soft and hydrated and hairless! :) I'm so glad that you made this video because people still believe that it makes the hair grow back thicker... or other old wives tales.

I also just started shaving like a year ago, and I have extremely sensitive skin, and maybe this sounds crazy but what I learned from another person is.
First do it at night
Wash your face well double wash as normal
On weet face use a very gentle mild face soap
Shave using a brand new razor on the motion as Dr Dray said.
After done rinse your face very very gently
Now this is the crazy part, but really really works
In the palm of your hand put 2 drops of Paula's Choise 2% bha mixed with water and press it gently in your face
Let it dry
Spray some water in face and use
Niacinamide, don't rub it just gentle
Then a bit of azelaic 10%.
Let it dry
And a super gentle moisturizer.
This helps with bumps and avoid bacteria.
All of those ingredients you must use a bit only.
Hope this helps.
It does for me 😉

I swear, Dr. Dray always seems to know exactly what I need to see on any given day! I've been shaving with 'Jill' face razor (a subscription service for razor replacement), but I was just thinking how the 3 pack of face razors I bought from Walgreens a while back actually seemed sharper and because of that, needed less pressure and were less irritating overall. I was just contemplating canceling my subscription and just going with the cheap ones from Walgreens because I think I got smoother skin from those than I do from these more 'fancy' ones! Thanks for the timely information!

My face looks so good with makeup, now that I shave all that peach fuzz. I use the Flawless Touch and love it. I was cutting myself with the tiny razors as I just couldn't get the hang of using them.

That Aveeno shaving cream is the best I’ve ever used! And it smells like yummy almond oat cookies!

This irritates my skin and I always break out after doing it...also, in Brazil peach fuzz when blonde is known as a beauty standard as it highlights the areas.
