Just turned 53. Had (2) divertic surgery's only 3 months apart 20 years ago at age 33. Then in 2016 had 10" of intestine that died, possibly trapped in the scar tissue/hernias, and had to have emergency surgery to remove the dead intestine and recovered fine. Then on 12-21-21 I pushed in a hernia on the fwy and almost passed out. The pain made me almost go completely black, but I managed to pull off the road and into a gas station where I fell out of my suv and layed there. Was rushed to hospital and spent 8 days there, and now I'm partially still blocked but am okay. Now I need all the scar tissue from the 3 operations cleaned up/removed. They will go through the old incision for this but also cut lapriscopically and put a mesh patch over the hernia or hernias. Not much fun, and luckily I was in really good shape physically, but after a month of a basically liquid diet I'm down to 145lbs and I'm 5'10

Can having a Hernia cause you emotional and mental stress ? Especially if caused by work ? Also I found it took me 3 months to full recover . Could the long term recovery be because I've also been diagnosed with vitamin D and B-12 Deficiency ?
