Thank you, this is very reassuring. I am 64, going in for CABG in a month or so. A lifetime of fast food and moms fried chicken caught up to me. My grandkids need me!!!

I must be one of the lucky ones

I had a triple bypass over a year ago and I have about 2 good hours each day then I am totally and completely exhausted. For me at 70 years old, this was the end of my fully functional life.

My husband is 72, and getting ready to have a triple by pass 8-9-23. He’s not overweight and walks 2 hours every night so we’re hoping all will go well.

I got the same line about 100% in 3 months. Not even close! I was still getting re-admitted to the hospital with complications at 3 months. It took nearly 2 1/2 years to get back to maybe 75%. YMMV

This guy makes it seem like no big deal. I had triple bypass. Recovery for me was harder than I expected and more painful than I anticipated. I needed more pain meds than they gave me. Be your own advocate. I am now at 10 weeks. The first month is rough but does get better. Some days you feel like you took a couple of steps backwards but as you look further back you will discover that you are making more progress than you realized.

Thank you for providing a valuable video with information for inquiring pre-operation patients.

I go see a heart surgeon tomorrow and I am scared. I had a cardio angiogram on oct 2nd and it showed I need a quadruple bypass surgery. No stints were going to repair or help me. Guys, I’ve never had heart issues and to learn of this and what I have to go through, I am scared. Please pray for me!

Seems the biggest complaint is the sternum getting split than wired back together.I was recommended for a triple bypass and I'm having 2nd thoughts at this point.Ive been drug free and a hard worker all my life and this will take that from me.Not looking forward to this at all.I also started taking insulin a few weeks ago along with a few other pills with the usual side effects .The more I see docs the more they want to fix me usually with Frankenstein like results.

Yeah I haven’t had much pain after being discharged from the hospital just manageable discomfort…actually it kinda feels like someone snapped me in the chest with a wet towel.

The worst is actually the hoses that were in the stomach that was brutal when the nurse took those out, plus it was kinda freaky to see the open holes from that when they showed me how to change the bandages.

I guess everyone is different and depends on how healthy you are besides your heart. 😊

I had a lot of pain after my quadruple bypass. It’s been three months since my operation. Still have some nerve pain in my breasts.
