HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR FOOTBALL BOOTS! Do you know how? Do you do it? At Unisport, we think that most of us are guilty of not taking care of our expensive football boots/soccer cleats. For us, football boots/soccer cleats are one of the most important items we own. Whether it’s leather football boots, which need the most care, or just plain synthetic football boots - most of us are guilty of not taking care of our football boots. These days, where football boots are getting more and more expensive, it’s so crucial that you take care of your football boots to make them last as long as possible.

And today, JayMike takes a step back from the football boots review room to give all of a lesson in how you should take care of your football boots/soccer cleats. The tricks in this are not necessarily football boot hacks but just good advice on how you get the best longevity out of your football boots/soccer cleats. So, if you don't know how to make your favourite pair of football boots last as long as possible, so you don't have to ask your parents for a new pair of football boots/soccer cleats every other month, then you should watch this video,

If you play on AG and get a lot of turf stains on your boots, if you have synthetic, you can get a sponge that has that rough green material on one side (scotch brite in the US) and you can use that to rub off the stains with a little bit of warm water. Works like a dream on my 2014 f50 adizeros and can even get rid of the stains off the soleplate too with a little extra elbow grease.
I've been doing this for the past year now and no damage to the boot at all.

When drying your boots use paper with no ink printed on it as newspapers can run on to the inside of your boots.

Idk about the "FG boots on AG pitches" claim. During my whole time in high school playing, everyone on the team had FG boots, and we played on AG and FG pitches. None of us wanted to spend a lot of money to have boots for both types of field, and no one ever got hurt or had boots wear down because of this. Our home field was AG, and I had two pairs of FG boots over four years and never had any wear down.

Great video! You should put more stuff like that, cause I think that proper care is more important than the good purchase. :)

I'm going to say, from someone that wears Fg boots on ag pitches very frequently, I've never had any injuries, and the only damage I've gotten is small black marks, which r hard to notice. So if you don't have the money, just stick with ur normal boots, rather than buying an extra pair.

Would it be a bad idea to put the boots in a washing machine? I have the Superfly Chapter 5, Cut to Brilliance, $320 version, and because they are white, they get dirty. If i was to put my white Superfly with my white clothes, will it be bad for the shoes? And I don't know if this will mess them up or if it will clean them but I'm just not sure. My washing machine is separate to the dryer. This is just a washing machine with no heater in it. So what is your opinion?
