Hi guys.💛 You're either going to be so shocked or you will have seen this coming a mile away. Either way, I quit my teaching job and will be staying home with my daughter next year.
Let's chat about it.

Leave me any questions I didn't answer down below and I will try to answer them in a video soon!
Thank you for always being here + caring about my journey. You all have watched me become a teacher, become a mom, and figure out how to balance both. I hope you stay with me as I figure out this new season of being a stay at home mom/ work from home mom.
I really truly appreciate you so very much. 💛

I am a teacher too. I took a few years off after my kids were born and I am so glad I did. You will not regret this time with your baby! You can always go back to teaching when she is older.

Amen. More teachers should stop being used and taken advantage of and disrespected in the classroom and focus on their own families and their own value and worth.

Emma, I saw this coming the summer after you had Jordan. I saw myself 34 years earlier going having the very same feelings. I was a nurse in the Air Force, in of all areas - the NICU. I had already lost two babies and was pregnant with my third baby, and my husband was an medical intern, also in the Air Force. God blessed us with a healthy baby boy after a complicated pregnancy and delivery, and I fully intended to stay in the military at least until my husband had finished his residency. But after one particularly busy day, when I was picking up our baby after a 15 hour work day, I realized how twisted it was that I was spending my days taking care of other mom's babies, when the baby I had waited for for so long was with a baby sitter. At that moment I knew that my career as a nurse was done, and I was going to be a full time mom. I was so fortunate to have a husband who was 100% supportive of that decision, and 35 years later I have had absolutely no regrets. I got to do things with my son that I would not have been able to had I continued to work, and I have memories that will be with me forever. As it turned out, he was the only child we were blessed with, and I am so grateful that God sent me the message of what my life was meant to be. I'm now the grandmother of two beautiful little girls, and blessed with a daughter in law whom I love with all my heart. So I can tell you with experience, you stick to your guns, ignore the snarky comments some people may make, and you enjoy your time with your daughter. It's going to be the most rewarding job you will ever have, as well as the hardest one.

When you shifted from teaching content to a different style earlier this year I had a feeling that you would be leaving. I could see how much burnout you were experiencing. I am proud of you for choosing yourself, so often we’re made to feel bad as teachers for picking ourselves but I am so happy for you that your able to chose yourself. Congratulations on your new journey

I resigned from teaching after having my 1st. We were fortunate that financially I could stay home for all 3 of our children. I felt called back to teaching once my youngest was in full time kindergarten. It was during the pandemic and our school was desperate for subs. I started there, then renewed my license. I’m about to finish my 1st year back after 10 years of not teaching. I’m so glad I was able to stay home with my kids when they were little❤

I left teaching after 10 years to be more available to my family. I had no idea how much my family needed me to manage our home during this season. You never know the doors the Lord will open if we are obedient to where He is calling us. Good for you! 🙌

Soooo glad to see this video!
I literally resigned April 16 because my mental state was at risk! I’m a special needs teacher and my son is autistic! I couldn’t continue to do both, so of course I chose my own kid!

You got this mama♥️

I left teaching to stay home with my boys when they were little and don’t regret it at all! I’m so thankful you can do this and will be doing this! I’m now back teaching because they are older. I cherish the years I had at home with them. ❤

I was a first grade teacher for 12 years. After my third child was born, I quit teaching. It was such a hard decision. I love teaching. She is now 16 and I just got hired as a first grade teacher after all that time off. I am so excited. I enjoyed my time off to be with my kids, but it is time for me to do what I love!
Enjoy!

Educator turned SAHM here too! You will forever cherish this time you get to spend with her! You’re right - she will only be this little for so long! What a treasure that you get to raise her!

Also, how stinking awesome that God gave your hubby a promotion just a few days after your resignation. What an amazing God we serve! He is faithful!!!

I absolutely get where you're coming from. Thank the Lord I was able to stay home with my babies for a while before going back to work. Hands down best decision I've ever made. Your babies come first! You will have different students every year but you can't get those precious moments back with your own children if you miss them. ❤

So true, jobs will always be there. I think you made a wise choice! I was thankful to grow up with my mom homeschooling us kids and later on she started working again when we were older.

I love that you made the best decision for you and appreciate your transparency about how you are feeling. Fully support your decision! If you are ABLE to stay home and that’s what you WANT to do, then absolutely do that. I hope you don’t get any “disapproval” from others. Fully support you and love your videos! ❤

I'm so happy you made that decision. Your daughter needs you so much, especially in the first 3 years. Teaching does lend itself well to moving between work and family because you get to end the school year every year.

I was so sad when I saw the title, but overcome with joy for you after watching. My journey was opposite. I was blessed to be a stay at home mom for 20 years when God called me to become a teacher. This is my first year. I did teach pre-K in my home for 4 years previous to this year. What a blessing it was to be home with my children. 3/6 are still living at home, but my youngest is 11. I know God leads our lives. He promised me my kids would be fine if I followed his will and became a full time teacher. I love how we need not fear if we follow the Lord. Your spirituality is what I love about your content.

You will absolutely still be a teacher.... You'll just have time and energy to pour yourself into teaching YOUR children. God bless you on the journey ❤

You do what you need to do! I taught 5 years. I took15 years off to raise my children. I then went back and taught 21 more years. Do what you feel led to do!

Love that for you! I didn't go back this school year and am now a stay at home mom for my newborn. It's the best. Enjoy!!!

I randomly clicked on this video. I think it’s a sign of reassurance that I’m doing the right thing by switching careers. Teaching is not easy. So many different aspects can make it challenging.

This is my first time I have watched your channel. Good luck and praying for you and your family in your transition. I have been a stay at home Mom for years. I have been very grateful to spend time with my family. I hope you enjoy as much as I have appreciated and enjoyed. ❤
