Dehydration is the reason, most are gravely dehydrated, not even 50% water, you're supposed to be 70%👍

Drink plenty of water, berries (blue, black, and raspberries), kiwi, and broccoli/cauliflower. Hot green tea helps too but sparingly! Working out and fitness, as well as yoga helps as well

This can also be caused by stress and “holding things in”. Louise Hay has a book that relates every bodily ailment to a mind/body/emotion!

I wish it was that simple. It doesn't matter how much fibre I eat and drink 3 litres of water every day I remain constipated. I've been rushed to the hospital by ambulance twice in incredible pain and had to be cleaned out.

I love Dr Mandell! A magnesium deficiency can cause constipation!

In one of Dr Atkins first books back in the seventies he said he's not convinced you need a lot of fiber the main thing is to drink a lot of water

Doc, your amazing tip of olive oil plus lemon juice prior to breakfast did the job for me after almost 5 months of very bad constipation 🙏 following all your great tips ever since 😊

Soluable is the soft fibre from fruits and veg
Insoluable from bran or psyllium provides bulk

I agree this is true for most, so that's why Drs say this to everyone. It's not true for everyone though and that's why I've made things worse for myself. Water is huge for sure. Everyone can definitely benefit from more water. But the more fiber I eat, the more my stomach gets big, hard, and painful. I look pregnant and I am in pain from the weight. Water helps, but still I can't eliminate. I've had IBS-C for about 4yrs . Even though I've been lactose intolerant my whole life, I can eat/drink dairy like crazy with no problem anymore. Which is worrisome and a huge relief at the same time. My Dr told me to eat dairy more often to try and help my stool soften bc of this discovery lol. Stool softeners are too harsh, but we've found that Krystalose with lots of water is gentle enough to help without so much pain and that awful burning bum. This is just my story and just left here in hopes to help someone that may be needing something similar for them in their routine. But please ask your Dr.

Here's my unique situation, I take Vyvanse and Adhd medications Which wall effective caused 2(3) side effects 1 You could swap it with a laxative & caffeine on some days I wouldn't notice 2 my muscles in my neck to become very tight & painful basically make The typing work I took the meditation to Do almost impossible.
3 (lust increase, carple tunnel is a b*tch)
So I started taking a muscle relaxant, Tizanidine, a muscle relaxant The compensate for that and while it does help.
It leaves me constipated sometimes. (Along with warm showers during medication activation)

So Basically I want a bazaar cycle, We're like once a day (or every 3 days) Everything just "leaves" good thing my laptop is portal or I'd never get any work done. 😅

I hate my ADHD brain.

Thank you Dr. Mandell for your education abt. condtipation & bowel movement. I've also learned that diet that fulled with fibre from fruits & vegetables will make a smooth sausage shape stool, and we should always aim for stool like this.😳❤🙏

Something we have both done for years, although this is difficult now for my wife after recently being diagnose with celiac disease.

What if it's aggravated by medications that they must take? Increasing water and fiber didn't help this person.

I eat plenty of fruit and healthy foods I take chia seeds flak seeds and still can't poo constipation is a big issue with me .I drink plenty of water 😢
