Ten minutes ago I had a conversation with a gastroenterologist regarding constipation. I did not reschedule a followup. I told them, "It is not a fit." He recommended a bran fiber and laxative. I asked him about veggies. He said vegetables can't push the waste out. OMG! Then I search Dr. Berg's video and he says the opposite. Someone help the medical profession!

I have tried a lot of things. What works best for me is drinking dandelion tea throughout the day. Fresh organic vegetable soup everyday. I do not use anything other than vegetables in the soup. I put it in the blender and have a bowl everyday. I avoid anything processed foods. I haven`t had to use a laxative since I have been doing this everyday. Previously I drank a cup of raisin water (boil 1 cup raisins, 4 cups water) before before going to bed at night.

My life and health is changing because of Dr. Berg. He's made me conscious of every food decision I make determined by what are the healthiest foods for my particular ailments. Enjoying a rosehip tea with ginger and turmeric right now. Thank you Dr Berg, magnesium citrate in my daily kefir based smoothies has me as regular as Earths orbit. I gave up asking my GP for his opinion on my ailments and natural treatments, he rolls his eyes a lot and lectures me on believing in science.

I'm here to say thank you Dr. U are an Angel. I got healed so quickly from pelleted stool almost got torn, , 🙌 I only increased vegetables and some fatty diet and that quickly resolved my bathroom conflict.

Wow. Lightbulb moment. Ty. I have all the symptoms and I do not have a gall bladder. Was told it was no big deal when they removed it and never given anything to help with bile production. Now I have chronic constipation and no recommendations for relief. This makes so much sense!

It took me several months to find what foods reduce or alleviate constipation from personal experience. I found having lentils/beans soaked over night then simmered in water (25 mins)and at the last few minutes let a load of fresh spinach wilted on the top. I ate this at 5PM and all out by 4.15 a.m (I work nights)... I hope this can work for others and all those people in agony.

Good advice but too product oriented. You didn't mention the TYPES of food that tend to cause constipation, like hard boiled eggs, cheese, nuts. Each of these can feed the undesired bacteria which clump into hard lumps that cause the constipation. The grain fiber tends to hold water, which helps to soften the hard lumps, even though it doesn't feed the bacteria.

Intestinal Adhesions.  A lot of people have these within the intestine from lifelong chronic constipation or even bowel surgery (especially).  These adhesions look like rubber bands that are attached from one side to the other to hold the intestinal wall together...and look like a strainer.  Things like asparagus (stringy, undigestible fiber) and lettuce that isn't cut small enough (or chewed) will get hung up and plug the flow of stool.  If you think you might have these adhesions in excess make sure to chop up your lettuce and other undigestible, insoluble fibers really small so they can pass through your "strainers",  preventing bowel obstruction.

Just wanted to comment on this..
I have suffered from constipation for a long time. Did all the things you are supposed to. If i have to leave home early, it was not gonna happen all day. If i was stressed, no go!
The one thing i have hit on, nutritional yeast. So happy! 😃
