I have made a similar video over a year ago which has helped thousands of people, but since then Apple have changed some things and I have also received some good questions from you that I will answer as we go. I will be transferring from my iPhone 15 to my new iPhone 15 Pro but the same process will apply for all recent iPhone models. This transfer will carry over everything: your apps, music, photos, messages, re-pair Apple Watch, and even your wallpaper and settings. This will save you a lot of time and will essentially mirror your old iPhone onto your new iPhone! After doing all of your steps, during the transferring data stage, I kept getting the error message to "move devices closer"... They were touching each other without cases on. Then I would have to cancel the transfer and reset the new phone. This happened 3 times. On the fourth time, I was so irritated, I thought I would be funny...They want them closer - I will put them on top of each other!! So, I did that, and I'll be darned, that worked!! LOL So if anyone else is getting this message, just make your phones make love...and it will work. :)

Over the years, being a tech freak, I have figured out I am actually addicted to updates and fiddleing with phones like in this video. Getting updates just feels cool. Thank you, Dion. I have my old iPhone (7+) unlocked, by choice. I don't need to LOCK it first before transferring data to my new iPhone (16 Pro Max, arriving in a few days), do I? Would I tap "skip" at this juncture to continue transferring data from the unlocked former phone?

Hello and thank you for this guide !! just a quick question about Whatsapp - is this process also transferring Whatsapp autentication and chat history? In the past I remember logging whatsapp on new iphone was quite dangerous (if you did not have a backup on iCloud for example) since old iphone chat history was immediately gone after login on new iphone was completed. So wondering now ... thanks!!
