Dude. You need to make sure you say clear the NEW phone not the old phone . If you erase the old phone there won’t be anything to transfer

1. Make sure phones are above 60%
2. Have good WiFi condition
3. Take your NEW iPhone, not old.
4. Go to Settings and click general
5. Scroll to Transfer or Reset iPhone
6. Click Erase all content and settings
7. Tap continue and erase iPhone
It will be back to the activation page
8. Move New iPhone to your “Other iPhone”
9. Tap Continue on your Old iPhone
10. Choose Authenticate Manually
11. Enter code shown on New iPhone to the Old iPhone
12. Click “Set Up New iPhone” and enter the passcode of your Old iPhone on your New iPhone
13. Press Continue on New iPhone
14. Set your Face ID if you want
15. Click “Transfer from iPhone”
16. Agree to Terms and Conditions
17. Enter your Apple ID password
18. Click Continue to Transfer Data

Fortunately, I backed up my OLD iPhone minutes prior to following this guy's instructions.

This guy reverses the transfer process, such that the prompts wound up asking me to set up my old iPhone as though it were the new iPhone. Unnecessarily frustrating and time-consuming.

It is never mentioned that you need to first turn on BlueTooth in your old device to get the "Set Up New iPhone message to pop up on your old device! Why do they not mention this?

Do we have to enter the same iCloud in both phones?

Every demo is for the current iphone, to a brand new iphone.

Instead, we have an iphone 12, and an iphone 12 we previously used, also attached to our account (it shows up in our list of our devices). The old one hasn't been used in months, so it has an old version of our data. Both the old and new are updated to the lated IOS.

In that case, I only want to move the SIM from the current to the OLD phone, then refresh that phone with the latest data from the current phone. We backed up the current phone to the cloud. So basically we want to move the SIM to the old phone, then restore data from the cloud backup.

Is there is simpler way to do this?

Will the method of transferring data still work if I have an old iPhone 6s with an outdated iOS version? Apple won't allow me to upgrade to the latest iOS version. If the answer is no, what other solutions are there? Does Quick Start transfer ALL music files?
