The pilot of the first aircraft landing did not "veer off onto the grass". He simply took the high speed exit taxiway for goodness sake!

04:08 - the Mach loop is in Wales, not England. 10:22 Lukla is in Nepal (a sovereign nation), not Tibet (a region of China). Come on guys, some people get offended by such negligence.

My Daughter is an engineer for the Osprey developing the engines. Quite impressive piece of equipment.

That pilot that landed in those cross winds did an amazing job!

These moments serve as a reminder of the importance of pilot training, quick decision-making, and safety measures in aviation.

I learned to fly at a small airport on the west coast, where crosswinds were the norm. I loved the challenge of crosswind landings, but there were some days when you just didn't fly! Pilots came from all around the area to practice at that airport, which often meant I didn't fly on the weekends. You were SUPPOSED to fly the pattern but it was an uncontrolled airport and straight-in approaches on weekends were done a lot (to save fuel) since recreation pilots would come in, taxi down to the end of the field on a dirt road and park, then crawl through a barb-wire fence and walk to an area that had great restaurants near the ocean shore and the views of the ocean while dining were extraordinary!
The landing pattern was unusual in that taking off, you flew over flat land, then downwind over a 1100' mountain, then flat land on base, turning to final over the ocean then to land.
Sideslipping and crabbing were close to the first maneuvers I learned while learning to fly!

The banging sound after takeoff was a compressor stall, this occurs when there is an imbalance between airflow supply and demand.

The jet banging noise is the airflow momentarily changing direction due compressor stalls. Usually reducing power some will stop it. If left to continue it can cause a lot of engine damage.

The commentator mentions 'Picturesque English Landscape' when talking about a plane flying in Wales! (Wales is a different and separate country to England! Wales has its own language - Welsh - and it's own Government; it also has real dragons which breathe fire.)

Huge props to that Osprey. WOW! (Pun definitely intended.)

As a person living in Wales, I object to your reference to the Mach Loop in Wales as being "part of the English countryside". We are a separate country from England!! just like Canada is not the USA!! Please make sure you get your facts correct!! Thanks (Diolch yn Fawr!!)

Legend has it Hillary Clinton was named after sir Edmond Hillary. LOL

4:09 - ‘….picturesque English landscape…’ ! Wales is NOT in England ! Wales is a Principality and a country in its own right, it along with Scotland, England and Northern Ireland make up the United Kingdom (U.K.) !!!

Love the comments on "Wales being a part of England"

The Mach Loop is in central west Wales. It’s in the Welsh and not the English countryside. Wales and England are two different countries.

Amazing thing to me was a large jet pulled into runway with 1st plane.

It's a pity you had to confirm the ignorance of Americans about other countries. England is one country, Wales in another country, with its own language. How would you feel if I called California Kansas?

Hurricane Hunters flying a 60+ old airplane. Now that's bravery.
