How to become friends with people who already have an established friend group.

You may not become part of this clique. But is it possible to draw someone out and befriend them outside of the group? Yes, and I'll tell you why you should.

Remember, there could be a number of reasons why this person doesn't want to bring you into the mix. He/she could be jealous of you, not wanting to "rock the boat," or simply doesn't want his worlds to collide! Whatever the reason, you can form a friendship outside of this clique.

Most of the time it doesn't work to be friends with someone who has a group. I usually make friends with people who don't have a group. LOL Popular people always have a group, I just leave them alone.

♡ get with a person in the group when you know the others aren’t going to be involved (little thing like grabbing coffee, not interfering with the group)
♡ form a friendship
♡ if they involve you in a group be friendly but don’t try to act like you’e stealing the friend
♡ don’t expect to be involved with the group

Great advice, and it has always worked for me. I had to change schools a few times as a kid because of my parents being nuts, and this is what I did at new schools. I immediately made friends and was viewed as someone who "includes everyone". I felt really proud of myself about that. :-)

Thats the way it is in Michigan and I had no idea till i moved to Georgia. I've been trying so hard at the age of 39 to bust in to a girls group. And to make matters worse i am very good friends with one of them. I'm banging my head on a wall at this point....😢

Ikr I only made 1 friend in kindergarten then when I was in third grade I made my own friend group then my school had to let go some students so then I had 1 friend then she tells me one day “I’m moving” and I’m like wtf then I try making new friend but there’s only 2 groups, and ones for boys and one for girls, and when I’m trying to talk to some one she responds to anything I say then just like talks with some one else and I relize I made a mistake in kinder garden and I’m not gonna make any friends so like wth idc anymore... 🥸
