A lot of guys do or are taught that nowadays though. Npd, bpd, aspd, hpd, social anxiety, plain old immaturity, any external validation thing. Materialism and social media makes everyone a lovebomber. Making it about performance, prestige, status or whatever instead of just loving the woman in front of him. The narcissist flag would be leaving you hanging, having the same conflict cycle, never apologizing, things like that.

Had a convo the other day where I told him we don’t date anymore and my favorite date was when we had a picnic by the pond in my neighborhood and watched the ducks. He literally told me that was not my favorite date and that my favorite date was when we went an expensive restaurant that overlooked the city and then tried to tell me why. And I’m literally like no….. I’m a simple girl. That was a nice date but not the most memorable. You can’t tell me what was most memorable to me! He thought I should’ve been impressed enough by that for it to stand out more than something more sentimental and it wasn’t making sense that it wasn’t. He doesn’t really know me like he thinks he does.

No wonder they rush you into marriage after a few dates. Because if they give you more time, you will figure out something is wrong with them.

I am one of those narcissists and I am ashamed for it. Me and my ex hit it off because I really impressed her. As the relationship went on tho I did change my behavior. I wanted to impress HER. But other narcissistic tendencies I had drove her away from me. She’s an avoidant so she never told me the my narcissistic behavior was an issue let the relationship sink. Looking back on it I was so inexperienced and oblivious to things. I wish I can do it over again the right way. I really love and miss her. She says “maybe in another universe” but I wanna think that it’s at least still possible in this one at a later time, when we’ve detached and changed. I don’t know, and I shouldn’t care…

My ex husband was a narc...It was alll about him and the show he put on for others...I think this is worst person to be with, he took everything away from me as a woman/ person...Ill never let this happen again..Self love ❤️

I see it Tucker and i get so sad and shocked that they break under pressure. Because speaking the truth is like walking a lonely road and very few people can handle that journey of one and people treat you badly because you speak the truth. Jesus spoke the truth and no one liked him . ❤

It's funny because while I have no dout I was involved with a narcissist a few years ago, never got the winning and dining experience.
