I don’t care who dislikes this video. My parents have reversed their type 2 diabetes after eating ketogenic diet and starting intermittent fasting. Ketogenic diet also cured my thyroid issues.

My mom is drastically reducing her blood sugar levels and blood pressure with keto. I've lost 55lbs and off all meds in the last year by doing keto/ carnivore. Low carb works and works fast!

I’m in ketosis and I fast as well. I eat twice per day, 8 hours apart and have been low carving now for 10 days. I’m down 10 pounds so far. The first 5 days I was struggling with fatigue and headaches, but I’m passed that withdrawal phase now. I gets easier after 5-7 days.

I'd rather not have diet soda on that list. It's still bad for ketogenic diet as it usually contains aspartame. Better stick to fresh lemon water or use sparkling water a squeeze a lemon in it. Best is water! That I definitely agree with on that list

I think it is the best diet to fast in. It makes fasting much easier than anything else.

I was speaking with someone from the military that does sport/entertainment nutrition/supplementation and he knew of this decades ago.
"eat only fat and a bit of protein to trick your brain into consuming your fat on the inside first.""cut out carbs."

They were testing this on different people and people were just snaking on cheese. Low sugar vegetables are good too.

Calorie deficit is still needed on keto but some days you can go into a fast on really low calories and do very well with weight loss.
Sometimes fasts on too low calories effects your sleep and you need to add back more calories or what you are lacking in nutrients back into the diet for a day or two.
You can cheat and take sleep meds.

Exercise on fasts effects your cortisol levels a lot especially with weight lifting. People cheat this by taking cortisol blockers like pred and sleeping medication.
You can go for light cardio or walks and it helps you burn.

Im on keto.
Not o ly keeps me thin but omg the energy levels i have sustain me the entire day without burnout unlike with a high carb diet.
High sodium, high fats once your body enters the ketosis stage,
All those digestion problems just seem to disappear

with fasting you will stop having sugar cravings, and also be hungry all the time, with keto you will burn the fat, its that amazing. I love it.

Why would anyone want to take a pharmaceutical keytone supplement when we can generate our own keytones with a combo of IF & a Keto diet?

I've been meaning to try this out. Makes sense that our ancestors to probably lived a ketonic diet just on the fact that they never knew when they would kill the next mammoth or buffalo.

My blood glucose plummets to 54 when I fast under the Keto diet. That value is in the hypo range which is said to be dangerous if my blood glucose gets any lower. Is this normal and OK, when fasting while on a Keto diet?

I'm skeptical, but glad more research is being done. What he is saying contradicts the AHA guidelines which is backed by good science. I will be sticking with the AHA guidelines on diet for the foreseeable future. I do know keto provides some short term benefits, but I doubt long term heart health. Once again I'm skeptical, but always excited to see more research on the human diet in the modern world.
