Awesome fasting doesn't depend on your diet or lifestyle completely but on your will power.

Im 63. Just finished a 6 day water fast. I felt great! I need to lose 45 pounds. I plan on a week long fast once a month with ‘the amazing liver & gallbladder flush’ by Andreas Moritz two weeks later. Been doing that flush for a loooong time due to Taco Bell (soda line) bleach poisoning many decades ago. Been intermittent fasting for 3 years. I’m grateful for the internet and voices like Dr.Fung to spread knowledge ❤️

When you're low carb fasting is so easy but it actually mimicks fasting

Fasting in the month of Ramadan is a great spiritual experience. We are expected to practice and rewire controlling our desires, love, and never ending hunger for food. But the key is to learn to eat healthy food. But unfortunately the essence of the month is not practiced in its true spirit. A lot of People on the contrary indulge in feasting this month and never benefit from fasting. Cutting one's desires takes some level of spiritual enlightenment and an understanding that desires have no limit and that no matter what we consume our desires will never be satisfied. The day we stop listening to our taste buds, we will reclaim moderation, satisfaction, fulfillment and health.
