You don’t NEED to train with weights to develop muscles. But it’s MUCH easier and efficient.

I am 66, and I just left a yoga class. I young gal just had to tell me what a great body I had. I get all my muscle definition from a strenuous yoga a pilates practice

I think people use “lift weights” as a synonym for “resistance training”.

Training density? I think you mean INTENSITY. Making the movements harder with advanced movements is the only way to increase hypertrophy without weights. Even then, if you are not going into advanced calisthenics, you are going to hit a wall with bodyweight after a couple of years where you are just doing too many reps for effective work. Repping out over a hundred BW squats is pointless and starts to become bad for your joints.

Sorry for bothering with this little question. I don't give a f what other says, I definitely grew my muscels with bodyweight training, now I am up for some true weights.
I would like to ask, what kind of shoes are u wearing, if it is allowed to write down. If not, sorry 😅 love ya work!

Misleading
Calisthenics can provide great stimulus and even great muscle growth, especially the upper body. Look at gymnasts!
But the skill level required to achieve a significant level of muscle growth will need to be much higher than using free weights.
In other words, and assuming proper diet and sleep are followed, an intermediate lifter will see much greater gains in their muscle development than an intermediate training in calisthenics.
If calisthenics movements are all that’s available to you then that’s fine. But if your goal is gaining muscle then trying to implement free weights would be ideal, in my opinion 🙂

What she's not telling you is it's easier with weights because you can choose your level of resistance. Good luck with these calisthenics exercises if you're fat.
