Why mechanics hate engineers

I was working on a car years ago and I wanted to choke the engineers. Had to undo the motor mounts and lift the motor up about 4 inches just to get the water pump bolts out. It was beyond frustrating.

No because if the link comes loose, the bolt falls out that way. Nut is always on the bottom so you don’t lose the connection unless it breaks

Those bushings need to be replaced anyway

To change the alternator in my focus, had to told the f🍁cking engine. We need to push through the right to repair laws, this kind of thing is absolutely ridiculous

I hate engineers because of the 2 different standards in 3 different sizes, and several orientations of fasteners on every single part required to be removed for sparkplug replacement.

If the bolt was fitted upside down the bolt would fall out if the nut comes loose and possibly go in a tyre as well as making handling a mess, by leaving it in the top there's a possibility you won't get a flat tyre and all you need is another nut.

What Mazda vehicle is that? In my experience actual Mazda designed vehicles are designed quite well for that kind of stuff. A lot of older Mazda stuff is actually on ford platforms.

or the last mechanic put the bolt in backwards and the bolt could have been removed the other way if it was put in correctly...

They want to charge for all the listed hours to do the job but only do it in about 25% of the allotted time.

This whole scene is made up, there is no engineering failure here, if this wanna be mechanic did his job, he would be replacing all that cracked rubber
